Vom 25.07. – 01.08.2010 findet die 20. German Brass Academy zum dritten Mal unter dem Dach des Schwarzwald Musikfestivals in Freudenstadt statt. ...

Die einwöchige German Brass Academy dient als Blechbläser-Plattform, bei der die Vermittlung von musikalischem und technischem Können, der fachliche Austausch und das gemeinsame Musizieren auf höchstem Niveau im Vordergrund stehen. Die Dozenten setzen sich aus German Brass-Mitgliedern zusammen.

Die Teilnahme ist für bereits bestehende Blechbläser-Ensembles und Einzelteilnehmer ausgeschrieben, die vor Ort in Ensembles eingeteilt werden. Fortgeschrittene Amateure, Musikstudenten und professionelle Musiker ohne Altersbeschränkung können sich bis zum 30. April 2010 in der Geschäftsstelle der Bayerischen Philharmonie e.V.  bei Ute Kurz (Tel. 089 83 66 06 oder ute.kurz (at) bayerische-philharmonie.de) anmelden. Der Teilnehmerbeitrag für die Akademie beträgt 350 €, bei Anmeldung im Ensemble nur 300€/Person.

The GERMAN BRASS Academy
The week-long German Brass Academy acts as a forum allowing brass players to convey musical and technical skills, exchange knowledge and to come together to make music at the highest level. All lecturers are members of GERMAN BRASS.
The Academy will be held in the Freudenstadt Kurhaus and in the Freudenstadt regional school of music and art. Day of arrival is the 19th July 2009 when the Academy will be inaugurated with a concert by GERMAN BRASS in the evening. Its conclusion will be celebrated with two concerts as a part of the “Schwarzwald” Musicfestival.

The participants' subscription will be 350,- € or 300,- €/person for ensembles. This includes attendance of the classes of the GERMAN BRASS lecturers and a free ticket for the inauguration concert. The participants are responsible for their own travelling, accommodation and catering costs.
The call for applications aims at existing brass ensembles and single participants who will be grouped into ensembles at the Academy. This includes advanced amateurs, students of music and professional musicians irrespective of their age.
