Peter Stuhec

Peter Štuhec studied trombone with Professor Branimir Slokar at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen, later in Freiburg in Germany and attended master classes with Michel Becquet and Joseph Alessi. He was many times 1st prize winner of the Yugoslav national competition, both as a soloist as well as in chamber music ensembles. Already during his studies he gathered orchestral experiences with orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Schleswig Hollstein festival or the SWR Baden Baden under conductors such as Václav Neumann, Christoph Eschenbach, Dmitrij Kitajenko.
From 1992 to 2010 he was principal trombonist of the Symphony Orchestra Wuppertal with which he recorded several CD's and also appeared as a soloist. He guested with various orchestras such as Essen Philharmonic, Dortmund Philharmonic, WDR Symphony Orchestra and was a guest at several music festivals such as: IPV Trombone Festival, Portland Chamber Music Festival. He is also a member of the ReSonanz trombone quartet and several chamber music ensembles. Peter Štuhec is professor of trombone at the HfMT Cologne / Abt. Wuppertal and EML Lausanne.
